Hilton Waikoloa: What We Ate

We ate every breakfast and dinner at the Palm Terrace Restaurant in the Ocean Tower. This got very costly, especially when we got the buffet ($22.50 for breakfast - $32.00 for dinner!). But, this buffet is easily the best buffet I have ever had! There are always several main choices, nothing is ever dried out, and all the food is very high-quality. We had delicious linguini and gnocchi and prime rib on Italian night, and ate about 20 each of the plumpest, freshest strawberries I'd ever seen the next morning.

We had lunch once at the Lagoon Grill, enjoying their great view of the dolphins, and once at the Orchid Cafe (perfect pool-side food). All the restaurants and shops let you charge your purchases to your room, so you don't need to bring any money with you to the pool.

To find more reasonable meal prices check out King's Shops Shopping Center about a 3/4 of a mile outside the hotel grounds. You could take the trolley that runs there until 10 at night ($1.00 each way). The center contains several restaurants and a food court.
