The Hilton Waikoloa Village is a very large hotel on the Kohala coast of the Big island, just below Waikoloa. It has over 1200 rooms and spans 62 acres. Several small boats and two trams shuttle guests between their rooms, the entrance, the lagoon, and the pools. The Hilton has two large pools and one large lagoon with a beach, but no actual beach on the ocean. My family and I stay there as often as we can:

My family and I spent the last long weekend of spring break (march 04) at the Hilton Waikoloa Village. As usual, we had a great time. The Hilton is still my favorite hotel on the Big Island.

Our Stay at the Outrigger
The outrigger is a nearby hotel, a little less expensive than the Hilton Waikoloa Village.
