September 15th, 2004![]() There is no real town area at Kaanapali, only a long beach packed with hotels, starting at the Hyatt (picture above) and stretching to the Sheraton (picture just below), with only a shopping center to break up the monotony - oh, and a golf course across the street. The ocean water is absolutely crystal clear, the beach is pristinely clean, and the hotels range from lower moderate to luxury. I recommend it as a place to stay for anyone. The long path running along most of the beach makes it especially attractive to those who actually plan to exercise (with a view) on their vacation. If you aren't staying here, public beach access is available between or at several hotels - just drive in and look for the signs. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
