Looking for comments on rasing a family in Hawaii

Lisa's best Hawaii Travel Advice! - let me help you plan your best vacation to Hawaii ever!

First time posting here. I have always dreamt of moving to hawaii one day. But now that I have the means to do so, I'm concerned about my children (a 3 year old and a baby). I noticed from reading other posts that public schools in Hawaii aren't too top-notch. If this is true, are there any good private schools? If so, where are they mostly located? In short, where in Hawaii would be the best place to raise a family? (BTW I'm not looking for a job in Hawaii)
Any help to this newbie would be greatly appreciated.
