7 (or 11) days in Kona with family...

Hi,

We're spending 7 days at a Kona time share in July (not on a beach) and are thinking about extending the trip 3 more days.. The question is where to visit.

3 young children (6-12ys)

We are not looking for a high-end resort, rather, easy and head-ache free access to great beach with swimming, boogie boarding, and access to hiking, snorkeling, ocean kiaking, and traditional and cool back-country sightseeing.

Current thinking is take the adtl. 3 days at the White Sands Village condos that are directly accross the street from the White Sands beach, or, visit another Island for 3 days.

We are a long way from Hawaii and may not be back again for a long time.

I don't want this to be a rushed vacation, but we also don't want to sit poolside for a week...

Any suggestions? Thank you for your advice!
