Accomodation in Hilo

Hi there,

I am a student that is moving to Hilo to work at the JAC for eight months starting in October, 2003. I am looking for a rental (apartment, shared house, room, etc.) and am having some trouble finding stuff on the net. I understand that housing is expensive, but ideally would like to find a place for under $500.
