Stayed there in 2001 over Aston Royal Sea Cliff (now Outrigger Royal Sea Cliff). Overall a pretty good condo. The little area that overlooks the ocean is nice and the sea wall is fun to sit on and get splashed. I personally prefer my bedroom attached to the lanai so you can hear the ocean. This one the bedroom is right by the hall and people can be loud when you're trying to sleep as they're going to their rooms. The condo itself is nice, needs a little updating. (It might've just been the unit we got though) The only real beef I have with the place is I feel like their halls and parking garage are not adequately lit. I would never go in the garage by myself and wasn't comfortable with my husband going down there either. Hopefully they've rectified that problem by now though. Overall, I'd say it's a nice place to stay. If you're looking for a comparable condo in the same area the Outrigger Royal Sea Cliff is also nice (make sure you get the ocean view--the garden views stink), it's just right up the street. If you're not satisfied with Kona by the Sea, ask for a tour of one of the rooms at the Sea Cliff for your next stay. Enjoy yourself!!
