Aloha Carol, from TX you can get an early flight to Oahu and begin the vacation the day you arrive. I would suggest the 1st day and the next on Oahu doing the things you must and then quickly move to Kauai on the 2nd afternoon. Good diving on the south shore, Poipu area. Also Kauai is laid back and relaxing. Good sightseeing opportunities and a beautiful island. Maui is a step up in pace and a fun island. Lots to do and see. Good diving over at Lanai. A couple of boats run out of Lahaina and its worth it.If you want more diving info email me and I'll pull out my log books. We have been to the islands 112 times and currently planning our next trip.
