Advice needed for the clueless

: Hi all, : I have been searching for a forum like this for quite some time, so I am happy to be here. : After researching info on Hawaii for hours and hours and days and days...I'm slowly going blind with confusion. I really need advice from people who know better. : Heres the plan: : I am meeting up with a friend in Hawaii at the start of February. Neither of us have visited there before and are clueless as what is our best option. We are only meeting for two nights and are both flying internationally to get there. We would like an area that is suitable for our age group (early to mid twenties) and that has an active nightlife. We are also wanting to lavish ourselves with some luxury style accomodations, hopefully with ocean views. Something on the slightly romantic side would be nice too. : Now my questions are: : 1) What island would be best and why? : 2) Which hotel would blow our minds most? : 3) Roughly how much $$$ per day would we need to live on? (Food, travelling around, nightclubbing etc but not much shopping) : 4) Any tips we should know about? : Neither of us are US citizens so any help or advice you can help with would be greatly appreciated by us. : Thank you for your time. : Cam and Jodie.
