: The Hilton Waikoloa Village on the Big Island is incredible - they have two really great pools but no 'real' beach. There is a beach within shuttle distance (anaehoomalu) and another great beach (Hapuna) on the same coast. For a beginner to learn to surf you would probably have to go into Kailua-kona though. The best fishing is on the Big Island too. Here's my Hilton Waikoloa <a href="http://www.andhawaii.com/hawaii/2002/050102.html">review</a> (picture link on the bottom) : The Hilton on Waikiki beach is also great - plus you have Waikiki Beach right there - all your kids could hang out on that beach the entire week with plenty still to do, although you'd probably want to head up the windward coast for some snorkeling. : As for Marriott - were there any specific timeshares you were looking at? I'm sure cooking your own food would help a lot, with all those kids :-)
