Guest at Oahu wedding

: My mother and I are attending a cousin's wedding to be held at the JW Marriott Ihalani resort in early August. We will stay in Waikiki for the week before the wedding, and are getting a rental car with our airfare package. : We have researched on the internet etc, and have a senior rate of $150/night at the Marriott Waikiki, ocean view with breakfast. : Does this seem to be a good hotel (for this price) for two women who do enjoy nice surroundings, and will doing some touring about, but most likely will spend most of the week relaxing by the pool or shopping ? : Thank-you for any thoughts on this, as this is our first trip to Hawaii. Also, any thoughts upon drving from the Ihalani to Waikiki after the various wedding events ? : Thank-you, Mary Anne
