Maui Travel Services
There are only two ways to get to Maui, you can fly or you can take a cruise. Maui is considered a "neighbor island", so you may have to get to Honolulu first and then start your cruise or take your flight to Maui.
Direct Flights to Maui
A few airlines now offer direct flights to Maui from the west coast, and more airlines may start offering the service at some point. You will know direct flights to Maui if they go straight to Kahului airport (airport code OGG). There are also two other airports on Maui, but the Hana one only takes small planes. They are
Hana Airport (HNM)
Kapalua Airport (JHM)
Cruises to Maui
There is not a boat that will pick you up on one island and take you to Maui, but several cruises through the islands make a day stop in Maui. If you take a Hawaiian Cruise, take it for the cruise itself, because you really don't spend very much time on each island.
Inter-Island Flights to Maui
The most common way to get to all the neighbor islands, including Maui, is to take an Inter-island flight via Aloha Airlines or Hawaiian Airlines. You will fly into Honolulu Airport (HNL) and then take a connecting flight to Maui. Sometimes the airline you book through will make these reservations for you as part of their package price, but if you must make them yourself, look into Interisland coupons to make the trip cheaper.
