West Side Maui Hotels
The home of the Kaanapali resort area, Lahaina, and Kapalua - the west side (leeward side) is hot, dry, and full of great beaches such as Kaanapali Beach, Kapalua Bay, and Airport Beach. This is where you will find the high-end luxury resorts, and plenty of shops and dining choices to go with them.
South Shore Maui Hotels
Kihei, Wailea, and Makena are some of the famous south shore spots, and you may have heard the area referred to as the sunniest side of the island. There is a beach park every few feet it seems, and even the grandest hotels have to provide public beach access in most situations. You'll also find grand golf courses and underwater nature preserves.
