Kauai Shopping and Dining


Kauai hotels and resorts offer many shopping and dining options, and feel free to try hotels you are not staying at - most don't mind at all if you eat at their restaurant or come shop in their stores. Outside of the resorts, shopping plazas are the most convenient for dining and shopping.

Shopping Plazas and Marketplaces

  • Ching Young Village
    Located in Hanalei. Many places to eat, such as Hanalei Mixed Plate and Sushi and Blues. Two activity centers, clothing, jewelry, and specialty stores.

  • Coconut Marketplace
    Located in Kapaa. Large shopping center with over 70 shops and restaurants, a theatre, and nearby resorts.

  • Hanalei Center
    Located in Hanalei. Hanalei Center has over 20 shops restaurants and professional services including a medical clinic, dentist, hair salon and yoga studio.

  • Kauai Village Shopping Center
    Located in Kapaa. Local shopping center of interest to visitors. Has grocery and drug stores, plus a Wyland Gallery and a one-hour photo.

  • Kilohana Plantation
    Located in Lihue. Hand-crafted island goods, artist shop's and galleries, and Gaylord's at Kilohana.

  • Poipu Shopping Village
    Located in Poipu. Large selection of shops directed at visitors, such as the Black Peark and Hale Mana Fine Arts.

  • Princeville Shopping Center
    Located in Princeville. 37 shops, a grocery store, banks, gas stations, and restaurants.
