Well, that's not how we do it here in Hawaii. If you want to experience a true ocean adventure, try ocean kayaking. You can rent kayaks in practically every Hawaiian town, at rates of about $40 a day. You can rent one seaters, or two seaters and go practically anywhere. The kayaks that are normally rented here are hard-plastic, ocean kayaks, that have molded seats on top of them. Because of this they are sometimes referred to as "sit-on-top kayaks. The kayaks are long and wide for better stability, and they are very easy to maneuver. You don't even need any lessons, just get in and go. I have an ocean kayak, and we take it everywhere. I can stand up on it and use it as a diving platform, and I can pull myself up on to it from water over my head. We sometimes fish from our kayak, but mostly we just take it out on the water and paddle around. Sometimes we see dolphins, usually we see turtles, we always see fish - and I hope to see a whale up close soon. Try renting one on a calm day, listen to any safety precautions the renter may have, wear your life vests, practice close to shore, and then have fun! ---Web Travel Deals Watch--- ** check the web sites for details and restrictions --------------------------------------------- Pleasant Hawaiian Holiday's package for the Big Islands Outrigger Waikoloa Beach Hotel from $673 per person for 5 nights. Aloha is a Hawaiian word that has many meaning, some of which are hello, goodbye, love, mercy … But Aloha itself is more of a state of mind, and a way of acting. It is being nice always, saying hi to people as they pass you on the street, helping people in need, letting another car go in front of you - come to Hawaii, you will see.
