As the amount of people flying goes up, so does the time each person is spending in security lines. -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ 01. --- Where the Air Travel Deals Are ---Well, the airlines finally did it - they dropped their prices. We were able to find a flight from Honolulu to Newark for $438. That is the lowest price I have EVER seen (by far)! So, here's your chance to get the deals, and here's the websites to find them at.-- The Major Airlines' Sites TWA American United Delta Continental Northwest Orbitz Orbitz is the website founded by American, Continental, Delta, Northwest and United Airlines. They say their combined efforts get you the lowest fare. Be sure to check the airlines' Internet specials or packages page - most have them, and good deals can be found there. -- Large Online Travel Sites Expedia Expedia offers booking for all aspects of travel, and includes maps, destination info, and packages. They do offer telephone support and usually allow cancellations. LowestFare Offers booking for most travel types, plus specials. Travelocity One of the oldest online companies, with a good record. Offers booking for all travel types, and includes message boards and specials - but you must register. They do offer phone support and usually allow cancellations. CheapTickets A growing company with many new features, offers booking for all travel aspects. Priceline Priceline is the "name your own price company" - the one where you place the time frame, accept the terms, and then name a price to see if it is accepted. I've heard many mixed reviews on this one, but I wouldn't trust it for something as important as a vacation. - maybe try it for the rental car or something small. OneTravel Interesting page that searches a database of airlines for fares, and offers a lot of travel information. Try the "Smart Traveler's Corner" and the "Search For Last-Minute, Internet-Only Airfare Specials" , near the bottom. Hotwire Hotwire is similar to Priceline, in that you don't get to know all the details before you buy - and you do have to register to see any results. Airfare, hotels, and cars. Airtech Interesting concept - dirt cheap prices if you are extremely flexible on when you can fly. -- Travel Auction Sites SkyAuction Bid4Vacations WorldofTravel Ebay Travel Yahoo Travel AdventureBid -- Hawaii Travel Deals TravelZoo This is the best Hawaii deals page I have ever found - updated weekly, and full of specials.
