Rent Snorkels and Fins
Spend hours in the water communing with fish, turtles, and dolphins. Buy your own before you come, or at walmart once you get here, or rent for as little as $9 a week at snorkelbob's - see link above

Grove Farm Homesteads; Historic Plantation Museum
Pikaka St., Lihue
Small fee for tours, this Homestead is a preserved example of life on a sugar plantation.

Kauai Museum
4428 Rice St. Lihue
Permanent exhibit of flora, fauna, and pre-contact Hawaii

Rent a Bike
Great prices, and so much fun, especially on the beautiful path by the sea.

Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge
1 mi North of Kilauea
This point features the lighthouse and many native and refuge birds and wildlife.

National Tropical Botanical Garden
3530 Papalina Road, Kalaheo
The best tropical botanical garden in the united states, great location and thousands of plants.

Kokee Museum Get into the park, see the waterfalls, hike around, then visit the museum for a suggested $1 donation. Can't get much cheaper and better than that.

Sierra Hiking Club
Kauai's Sierra club invites you to join them in guided outings on Kauai. Very small fee.
