This is an easy one. If you have a gaggle of gifts to buy for the folks back home, or just like to shop, you must go to the flea markets, farmers markets, and swap meets. There are some on every island. You will find everything from Hawaiian print clothing to shell jewelry and decorative coconuts at great prices. The farmers markets actually feature food, and you'll get great prices on pineapple, guavas, papaya, bread, etc., but plenty also have merchandise such as clothing and gifts. And oh, the flowers! Get a fistfull of colorful hawaiian flowers that will last your entire stay for $3! The Aloha Stadium Swap Meet on Oahu could take up a whole day by itself. The markets usually end around three, but try and get there early for full stock and the best food.

Keep your eyes open when you get to your island for any specialty markets being advertised. There are always christmas markets that sell everything under the sun, and even more specialized markets a few times a year like orchid markets. These supply incredible deals and will sometimes ship your purchases home for you!
