On a personal note -- if you are putting off buying that new computer because your Pentium 1 533 MHz is "good enough", put it off no longer!

I just bought a new Pentium 4 1.6 GHz computer with a few bells and whistles for just around a grand and couldn't be happier with the investment. This thing runs circles around my old computer and hasn't crashed once. Just do it already and say goodbye to those blue screens. (my website data that took three hours to get off my old computer took just 8 minutes to get onto my new computer) (!!!!!!!)

hawaii palm Our Pacific Paradise ~ in Poipu ~ Enjoy our newly remodeled beachfront condo where the morning sun flows through the windows as you look out onto the ocean's breaking waves. From your private lanai, ocean and mountain views flood your sight, sea turtles appear among the rocks, and local fishermen cast their nets.

01. Honolulu's Chinatown

Honolulu and Waikiki are areas wall to wall with shopping and dining experiences, but every visitor would do well to make a special trip to Chinatown to sample shopping and dining with some history and diversity on the side.

Chinatown is a 15-square block area with boundaries of River Street, Bethel Street, Beretania Street, and King Street in Honolulu - map here

The area merchants are a blend of Vietnamese, Laotian, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Filipino, Hawaiian, Korean and Caucasian. They offer a variety of ethnically diverse products and food, with dim sum to rival any you've had before.

Besides all the incredible food you will find herbal medicine shops, lei stands, import stores, jewelry, art, antiques, teak furniture, a temple, and clothing. Ahhhh, the shopping.

Besides the shopping (and the eating) you will get a bit of history, available through a guided tour or self-guided walkabout - be sure to look up at the second story of the buildings, as often the original storefront and building completion date can be seen above any restored fronts.

About Chinatown:

Have a wonderful vacation! Lisa

One of the more unique Hawaiian (or anywhere) products I have found on the internet; a beach blanket you can stake into the sand that won't blow away. Nice Hawaiian patterns.
