When visiting, Hawaii maps are necessary if you are planning on renting a car. You can get a map of Hawaii before you arrive in the islands or you can pick them up when you get here.

Although plentiful and reliable the maps you get for free usually focus only on touristy areas and lack in detail so if you want to explore, go off-road, hike, or need detail you may want to pay a few dollars. Any bookstore and most convenience stores in Hawaii will sell you a map of hawaii (one or several islands) for an average price of $3 to $16, or you can order them off the Internet:
