In Hawaii you can stay at a Hotel, a condo, a timeshare (which is normally in a hotel or condo), a vacation rental (which is normally a house in a desireable location), a bed and breakfast (which is normally a room or wing in someone’s house), a cabin, a tent, or a hostel (think of army barracks- open bays and lots of people sharing either rooms or bathrooms or common areas). I like hotels best because that’s where you can find waterslides and great locations. Condos are OK if they are in a good spot. Vacation rentals are nice, especially if there are a lot of you.
