Kilauea

Kilauea Volcano is described as the most active volcano in the world. The current Kilauea eruption started in 1983. The volcano is sometimes mistakenly thought of as its own mountain, as in Mt. Kilauea, but it is actually a volcanic system located on the side of another mountain and volcano, called Mauna Loa, on the Big Island of Hawaii.

The easiest way to see Kilauea is within Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. There is a visitor's center, plenty of parking, an inn, an observatory, and plenty of hiking trails.
