Hi Jim, as far as I know, no one rents kayaks in or near Kapoho - not even in Hilo or anywhere in Puna. I would think your best bet would be to look around when you get there, or maybe before and try to find a vacation rental or bed and breakfast owner that would be willing to rent you one for a bit. here's one I found online: http://www.findrentals.com/21285.html Have a great vacation!

We're planning a week in Kapoho in September and I am wondering if there are kayak rentals available in the area. Would it be possible to rent on a weekly rate? Is it possible to have a kayak delivered to a residence on Kapoho bay? We'll be driving a rented convertible which may not be suitable for transporting a kayak even for a short distance.
