About Me
|
My name is Melissa Weber, but everyone calls me Lisa. I live in the Puna district of the Big Island of Hawaii. My husband and I frequently fish, camp, kayak, and snorkel anywhere we can.
andHawaii.com was born from a desire of mine to learn HTML, but quickly turned into a very popular Hawaii-visitor destination. It has been around since February 1997, originally under the domain name volcanoalley.com.
I am not a travel agent.

I hate spam. I hate popups. *And*, I hate when websites I submit my information to give it to other websites. I will never, ever, do any of the above to you, I promise. If you are within my site and see a popup or something else I promised I would never do, it may be because of Scumware on your machine and out of my control.
I do have ads on my site - I have affiliate ads and I advertise for several Hawaii websites. I hope that if you find my information useful you will visit and support these sites because I try to include only relevant content that will interest my visitors (and so I can pay my bills!).

The volcano is dangerous, the ocean is dangerous, and the even the land can be dangerous. Never turn your back on the ocean lest you be swamped by a wave. Never hike in a rain storm as flash floods can occur at any time. If you are planning on visiting the lava flow *please* speak to the folks at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park before you go. Use common sense and follow any safety precautions
posted at the beaches or other places you may visit.
